Ben Coda

Benformed production outfit Overcast in 2006. Looking to take his music ina harder, more dancefloor oriented direction, Ben went solo at the endof 2008 with a trio of remixesfor seminal label Toes in the Sand – Allthree received widespread DJ support and glowing reviews onwww.music-critics.com:‘Well, where to begin with Ben’s productions? Ionly recently discovered the man a few months ago (thanks Toes!), andI’ve loved everything he’s touched.’ www.music-critics.com.Ben wassigned by Baroque Records in early 2009, and had three tracks releasedwith them over the year - ‘Human Movement’, ‘Shape the Future’ and‘Reflections’ – all received widespread support and confirmed Ben'sstatus as one of the most exciting upcoming producers in theprogressive house scene – one of the highlights of 2009 was Ben’s remixof the massive ‘Chords’ by Shiloh, released in October on PolytechnicRecordings.

2010 sees Ben keeping up his busy studio schedule withremixes on the way for Spherax recordings, Sonny Wharton’s ‘Whartone’label and Jetlag Digital, as well as new original material on Baroqueand some exciting collaborations in the pipeline.‘This is an absolutemonster – love it!’ – Sonny Wharton on Ben’s remix of ‘Sonny Whartonand Digital Impression – Salinas’, due out on Whartone in 2010.'Arolling journey of tech and prog house Ben’s tech-prog sound crossesboundaries - tough beats and rolling basslines contrast with soaringmelodies, fusing Ben’s love of the tougher sounds of techno and techhouse with classic progressive house.

Ben is also an talented DJ,and has played at top clubs both in UK and abroad, including theMinistry of Sound and the Fridge in London and the Custard Factory inBirmingham. As at home on a pair of CDJs or Technics as he is using thelatest digital DJ software, Ben’s seamless sets are a rolling journeyof tech and prog house sure to rock any dancefloor. With a growing DJschedule, a monthly radio show on Danceradio Global and some seriousoriginal and remix material coming up, Ben Coda is definitely one to watch!
