Hawker

 

Hawker, Andrew Hawks, is a progressive and tech house DJ from Denver,CO, USA. Hawker's sound draws influence from genre masters: the sophistication of HernanCattaneo, smoothness of Sasha, emotion of Deep Dish, and energy flow ofJames Zabiela. With a drive for technical perfection and creative"storytelling" via harmonic arrangement and track edits, each Hawker session is a signature flight through floor-filling andintrospective progressive spaces.

Andrew has innovated dance culture's use of technologysince 1990. In 2003 he was one of the initial 3 developers on Beatport.In 1995 he pioneered global video streaming of parties over theInternet. In the early-mid 90's he operated popular global and localrave email lists that helped define the culture, and promoted theDenver scene writing for magazines like Urb.
